Every symbol tells a story. Since 1987, the VOSD logo has been a visual promise – a promise to stand with the rural families of Bangladesh, to protect their environment, and to build a future of dignity, opportunity, and hope.
The new VOSD logo – inaugurated in 2026
From the Old Identity to the New
In 2026, VOSD inaugurated a new logo while preserving the central theme of its original identity. The message remains the same – a happy rural family – but it is now expressed through a simpler and more contemporary visual language, drawn entirely in VOSD Green.
The Original Logo
For 38 years, the first VOSD logo served as the visual face of the organization. Designed in two colours, it portrayed a happy family in a remote rural village of Bangladesh – the very communities VOSD was founded to serve.
The New Logo
The 2026 logo carries the same spirit in a new form. Structured as a home, illustrated by Molay Das with a brand-new scene titled “The Life and Nature”, and drawn entirely in VOSD Green – a symbol of life, growth, and sustainability.
The continuity is not a coincidence. For almost four decades, the same core message – a happy family living in harmony with nature – has been at the heart of everything VOSD does. The 2026 redesign renews that message for the next generation.

At the centre of the new VOSD logo is an original illustration created in 2026 to represent the everyday life, environment, and aspirations of a happy rural Bangladeshi family.
The designer named the illustration “The Life and Nature” (জীবন ও প্রকৃতি), reflecting the close relationship between rural families, their livelihoods, their communities, and the natural world around them.
What the Logo Represents
Every element of the illustration is drawn from a familiar scene of rural Bangladesh – a family, their home, their livelihoods, and the natural environment that surrounds them.
Traditional Rural Cottage
The humble village home – the foundation of family life and the heart of every community VOSD serves.
Domestic Animals & Birds
Cattle, poultry, and ducks – the livestock that sustains rural livelihoods and nourishes families.
The Paddy Field
The father working in his paddy field beside the home – agriculture as an essential part of rural life.
The Vegetable Garden
The daughter collecting vegetables – homestead gardening as a source of nutrition and household income.
The Chorka (চরকা)
Beside the house, the mother spins cotton on a traditional wooden spinning wheel – a quiet tribute to rural craft and the role of women.
Pond, Ducks & Water Lilies
A village pond filled with ducks and water lilies – the natural environment that is an integral part of life in Bangladesh.
A Home for Every Family
The complete structure of the new logo represents a home – symbolising the VOSD family and the communities with whom VOSD works across Bangladesh. The letter “O” is designed as a globe, extending the meaning beyond a single household or village.

One Green, Many Meanings
Unlike the previous two-colour logo, the new VOSD logo is designed entirely in a single colour: VOSD Green.
VOSD Green
Green represents nature, life, growth, sustainability, and the rural environment. It is the colour of the fields, the trees, and the hope that VOSD cultivates every day across Bangladesh – and now the colour that carries the entire identity of the organisation.
